Triton Transport
Ltd is experienced in coordinating multi
load project movements between different
jurisdictions and modes of transport.
Recent projects include a P&H Mine shovel
from Tumbler Ridge to Houston, British Columbia
that involved planning and supervising the
teardown of the machine, sourcing cranes
for loading and transloading of rail cars
for parts that were too heavy to travel entirely
by truck and the on time, on budget delivering
of 18 separate loads.
Triton Transport Ltd also planned, co-ordinated,
and moved six components of a gas plant manufactured
in Calgary, Alberta and delivered direct
to heavy lift ship in Vancouver, British
Columbia for furtherance to Sydney, Australia.
Planning considerations included routing
through the US for the largest piece on a
12 axle configuration and timing each load
to arrive for offloading directly to ship's
crane.
Triton Transport Ltd routinely coordinates
stripping of mobile equipment to meet highway
regulations, often utilizing the hydraulic
capacity of the trailer to lift the machine
thereby saving the cost of a crane.
